A human-written policy — not legal boilerplate. Here’s exactly what we collect, what we don’t, and what your confidentiality means in practice.

The short version

Nest Collective is a private, non-profit community. We collect only what we need to operate the community. We share nothing with anyone outside it. What is shared within the community is confidential — this is a founding principle, not a legal clause.

What we collect

When you apply to join or sign in, we may collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your phone number (for OTP verification and WhatsApp group)
  • Your child’s current class (not their name or school)
  • A brief description of what you bring to and hope to receive from the community

We do not collect financial information, government IDs, detailed personal histories, or any information beyond what is necessary to operate the community.

What we don’t do

  • We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
  • We never use your data for advertising or marketing
  • We never share individual information with other community members without your permission
  • We never store sensitive financial data
  • We never require information that isn’t necessary for community participation

Community confidentiality

This is a core value, not a policy. Everything shared within Nest Collective — in Zoom sessions, in the WhatsApp group, in the member directory, or in private conversations — is confidential. Members agree to this when they join, and it is enforced by the community itself.

Specifically:

  • Session content is not shared publicly without the speaker’s explicit consent
  • What families share about their children is never repeated outside the community
  • The member directory is visible only to approved members
  • Screenshots and recordings of any community interaction are not permitted

Data storage

The website is hosted on Hostinger. Form submissions are stored securely and accessible only to the Nest Collective admin team. The WhatsApp group is managed on WhatsApp’s standard platform — WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies to messages sent there.

Your rights

  • You can request to see the data we hold about you at any time
  • You can request deletion of your data and removal from the community at any time
  • You can update or correct your information by contacting the admin team
